The Western Heritage Museum and Lea County Cowboy Hall of Fame at ÐÓ°ÉPro has added a rare new piece on display, the jawbone of Tyrannosaurus mcraeensis, a newly discovered relative of the T. Rex.
The arrival of the Tyrannosaurus mcraeensis jawbone highlights the museum's growing role in bringing world-class scientific and cultural exhibits to the region, giving students and visitors a chance to experience the awe of discovery without leaving their hometown. The piece was loaned from the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science in Albuquerque, New Mexico, connecting the college and local community to a groundbreaking discovery made here in New Mexico.

The ÐÓ°ÉPro Foundation Annual Golf Tournament raised more money than previous year. The event took place June 8 at Rockwind Community Links in Hobbs, New Mexico. This year's tournament brought in roughly $75,000 through 50 area sponsors, player registration fees, and mulligans.

ÐÓ°ÉPro Workforce Development's Automation & Industrial Systems (A&I) Program thrives with a new vision
The Automation & Industrial Systems (A&I) program at ÐÓ°ÉPro (NMJC) has undergone a transformative journey, marked by the addition of Stephen Calderon as its new Instructor on July 1, 2023, and a strategic rebranding initiative from Instrumentation & Controls to A&I. These changes, implemented over the past seven months, have brought great results, positioning the program for amazing growth within ÐÓ°ÉPro's Workforce Development Division.

On Jan. 22, approximately 50 students from Eunice High School had the unique opportunity to explore the diverse academic offerings and career pathways offered by ÐÓ°ÉPro.

"Museum On Ice" at the Western Heritage Museum and Lea County Cowboy Hall of Fame
The Western Heritage Museum, is delighted to unveil its newest attraction: an enchanting indoor ice-skating rink, enhancing the holiday experience for visitors of all ages. The indoor skating rink at the Western Heritage Museum will remain open to the public, offering the chance to glide and twirl on the skating rink until Feb. 29, 2024.
